There is a Lyssa in her workshop. There are parts everywhere. Half dismantled things and others half built. Parts of cars and even a spaceship are lying around the place. There's also a radio on. Very loud. But that doesn't make it the way up to the main house. It's all insulated. Lyssa has her part of the house that she can destroy and make things in piece and accidentally create interdimensional doorways. To her defense she was trying to replicate the little power source that was currently working at keeping the workshop from draining a significant power off the entire west coast grid. The half dismantled spaceship needed power to keep the computer running.

Lyssa's attitude to 19th century London had changed. It had to really when you got stuck in a place for a while. It helped the miserable old git she'd been introduced to had been so easily swayed. Most of them were. Didn't take a lot for her to start getting the control she wanted without them even realising it. So she liked it. She even liked the little part of London that seemed like hell they called Jacob's Island. Even if that idiot writer was trying to get rid of it. That was her's. Well, not so much openly, couldn't be done having a woman in charge of things. But it was her's.

She settled into the corner of the cripples and wrapped a hand around a bottle of gin protectively.

The ship was still in a state in the hanger. It wasn't as bad as it had been. Lyssa had done a lot of work on it and had a few scrapes, ruined tools and piles of junk to show from it. She yelped and hopped about swearing as the wires she'd been stripping down gave her an electrical shock. She threw down the pliers she had been holding and stomped off to find Owen. In a hope of some sympathy and maybe a bandage. She had her doubts about the sympathy.

There is something wrong. Lyssa wants to see her mother. Lyssa hates her mother.

There's a Lyssa. She's pacing backwards and forwards. Doesn't help she can't sleep. Even more so it's full moon. But she's not behaving as she usually would. If she was she'd be drugged and unconscious by now in bed fast asleep. Getting away from the worst of the lunar effects. She felt sick, the pacing wasn't the only cause it was waiting on the pregnancy test she'd left in the bathroom. She'd just walked out and kept going, until she'd reached the waterfront. That was where she was pacing now. Not a doubt that she was being picked up and watched not only by the normal security but anyone that she knew would have hacked access to the system. She paused briefly to consider if Owen found it before she got back and tried to ring. She started to move again before she pulled the phone from her pocket and launched it into the bay.

She didn't know what she wanted to do. If it was true then everything could change. Owen had said he wouldn't leave her but didn't mean she couldn't leave him. Who was she kidding with that? Away from him now she wouldn't be happy. She of course had other options, but it came back to it was his too, he should at least get to say something before any decisions were made.

Lyssa stopped again. She should go home. But she just stayed on the spot where she'd stopped. It was a joke, she was just winding Owen up, she would have told him, but Jack's words. She swore under her breath in all the languages that she could about Jack putting it in her mind that the sudden change of heart meant something. She stumbled to the nearest bench and sat down. Looking up at the few stars over head. Knowing that if her mother knew what was going on now she'd be amused by her daughters behaviour. Lyssa shook her head and pulled out her phone staring at the clock on it, watching the seconds going past.

After she'd seen enough of them go by and she was feeling a little more composed did she head home. Being as quiet as she could she slipped off her shoes as she closed the door. If Owen was in she didn't want to draw attention to herself just then. She headed right for the bathroom. She took a breath and checked. It was a moment of holding her breath before she gave a little slightly surprised squeal of delight. The sick feeling had gone. She squealed again. Jack was wrong. She even did an odd little jumping dance on the spot. She now just had to find Owen. Before that she had to find her phone to see where he was.

The food festival is on this weekend. It's why the water tower is covered in multicoloured strawberries! Wasn't able to go yesterday thanks to someone. But today, Owen coming along or not I am going down there. Should be interesting. Maybe get some free food samples too. If nothing else I can maybe pick up some decent bread and goats cheese.

((Cont from sws here))

When she was certain her daughter wouldn't hear she stopped.

"You really want to know?" Lyssa smirked. "It's best when we fight, I love it, we just fight. Bruises, cuts, being slammed against walls, we don't care." Folding her arms she looked at him. "That's just the beginning full moon is the worst, I'll try anything once. So if bruises aren't your thing what are?" If she'd shared some she wanted something from him in return.

So, a time agent walks into a bar...

You expect a punch line? This one doesn't start a fight, she looks like she's finished one though. Black eye appearing, split lip and fingers taped together. She'll laugh it off as a good night. She just asks for ice, for her lip.
