So, a time agent walks into a bar...

You expect a punch line? This one doesn't start a fight, she looks like she's finished one though. Black eye appearing, split lip and fingers taped together. She'll laugh it off as a good night. She just asks for ice, for her lip.

He's not really reassured. He knows that women can be just as strong as men, having no preconceptions helped with that, as well as being brought up by Sarah Jane Smith, but he still isn't exactly happy with the idea of girls fighting.

"What happened to you?"

"...If you don't mind me asking?" He remembers his manners at the last minute. The protocol for talking to strangers is something he forgets a lot.

She doesn't know how to explain it to him, she isn't sure honesty is quite the best with this. Certainly not when its along the lines of 'I like it rough and we got carried away' and after all she doesn't know how old he is.

"I tried to stop someone getting hurt." It was sort of true, somewhere.

He perks up a little.

"Oh! I do that too. Do you save the world?"

He doesn't look as young as he sounds, but it's probably best that she doesn't say it. He's technically only three years old. He hasn't even had the sex-talk with his Mum yet, even though he's learnt it all at school anyway. he knows the mechanics, but hasn't quite worked out the 'relationship' part yet.

"Sorta, I guess." She shrugs and wishes she hadn't. "You?" A little surprised yes.

Lyssa would say she's not worked out the relationship part out yet, it was just something with some people and nothing more or maybe it was more. She ignored it, it was easier, less brain hurt.

"Not just me. My Mum and Clyde and Rani and Maria too."

He really hasn't worked out how people talk to one another yet. He is improving though. He might sound a bit stupid. He's not stupid, just uncomplicated.

"Lucky." She doesn't care how he speaks, she doesn't seem a fraction of what she is most of the time. And Lyssa has been about enough to know things aren't all they can be seen to be.

"You got your mum to help." Maybe she's a little jealous somewhere in there.

"Well I help her really."

"She used to save the world before I came along. But now I help and so do my friends."

"Mum would like it better if we were all safe and sound, but I don't like it when she tries to go off without anyone, in case something goes wrong."

"She did before you? Who's your mum?" She can't help be curious.

"Her name's Sarah Jane Smith. I'm Luke. Pleased to meet you."

He holds out his hand to shake. He learns the oddest things sometimes.

That name sounds familiar...

"Lyssa." She reaches out to shake carefully, after all taped up fingers.

He's careful with her fingers, just shaking once and only holding her hand loosely, so as not to put pressure on it.

"Would you like a cup of tea or something?"

He's picked up the oddest things. It's Rani's Mum that's responsible for his Obsessive-Compulsive Kettle Disorder. She's always asking if people want tea in stressful situations.
