The ship was still in a state in the hanger. It wasn't as bad as it had been. Lyssa had done a lot of work on it and had a few scrapes, ruined tools and piles of junk to show from it. She yelped and hopped about swearing as the wires she'd been stripping down gave her an electrical shock. She threw down the pliers she had been holding and stomped off to find Owen. In a hope of some sympathy and maybe a bandage. She had her doubts about the sympathy.

Owen was in his lab. In his hands, he held a clipboard, taking inventory. He needed more supplies. And new equipment, but that was a long shot.

As Lyssa stomped around in the Hub, he winced. She was on her way down. And she didn't sound happy.

"What did you do now?"

She stopped still and held out her hand to show him.

"It shocked me. Again. This time is was worse." She looked about for a place she could sit down. "What you doing?" She could annoy keep him company a while before going back to the ship.

"Again?" He frowned and moved over to the counter, putting down the clipboard and putting on some gloves instead. Grabbing some bandages and a tube of healing cream, he placed some of it on her hand and then began to bandage her up. "What did you do to it now?"

"Trying to replace the wires, it needed it doing." She watched what he was doing carefully while actually being still enough for him.

"You want to help?"

He laughed. Loudly. "You know what you're doing and the ship shocks the shit out of you. I do it and it's going to fry me!" He shook his head and finished bandaging her hand. Turning, he went to upt the supplies away.

She pouted. "I wouldn't let her shock you. We could do something else and help me out with that. Just thought we could do something together. Suppose I could pick up the baby early."

Owen shook his head. "That's just stupid. If you want me to help you, I will." Taking off his gloves, he tossed them into the bin. "But it will shock me. You know this." He laughed and came back over to stand in front of her. "I'll go get the baby if you want me to. I'm not sure I want the baby near the hangar."

"I do, we can have stupid conversations as we work. Like about sport." She teased, sticking her tongue out when she thought his back was turned. "No, we can pick her up later, when we're going home, you're right, be safer for her. We can bring her when she's a bit older."

And he stuck his tongue right back at her. "You don't know shit about human sports. You always get it wrong."

"Hey!" She wasn't going to say he was right again, once was enough for the time. "Well, if you know so much you can tell me while we work. Might educate the computer too. All I've done so far is taught it how to swear."

He shook his head. "All you do on the computer is find porn." His brow furrowed and he winced a little. "It's not even good porn."

"I didn't find that..." She raised an eyebrow curiously."Oh thank the goddess it was just you watching it. I wouldn't say it wasn't good if I were you."

"It wasn't." He stuck his tongue out at her again and stepped back. "It was complete crap. The people weren't even hot. And good porn needs a plot." Shaking his head, he moved out of the way so she could get down.

"FIne. Tell me something about sport."

Owen shook his head as he escorted Lyssa out of the medical lab. One arm wrapped around her waist, he was quiet as they walked, thinking. He was great at medical things, but not so much at the technical stuff. He just knew how this would go.

As they walked into the hangar, he looked around. "Okay, where it it?"

Lyssa swore as all she saw was a set of steps."I think it does it on purpose. Damn thing should not be invisible." She shook her head and shouted in another language. The ship appeared suddenly next to the steps. "There, what d'you think?"

His eyes widened and he didn't know what to think. Not only had she done it, but she'd made it appear out of nowhere. And she'd hinted the ship had a mind of its own! His jaw dropped open and he just stood there, staring.

"Uh..."

Lyssa started laughing and put a hand out to gently close his mouth. "You'll catch flies like that." She took his hand and tugged him towards the steps.

"Even better on the inside."

"Where have I heard that before?" He teased her and followed along, letting his fingers thread with hers. His head tilted to the side and he at least had the presence of shutting his mouth. Though his eyes might have widened.

"For that I think you should shut your eyes. So no peeking until you see inside." She wanted it to be a surprise. It would be, it wasn't all that big inside and there was quite a lot of extra bits inside that were there as it was all being replaced. The main thing though was at least the pilots chair was still exactly how it should be.

"Whatever." Owen shrugged his shoulders and let her lead him wherever as he closed his eyes. "I gotta say, I don't like it when you tell me to close my eyes."

"Ah, right. Of course you don't. I think that dislike is part of the reason we ended up with a baby." She smirked as she led him along. Making sure he picked his feet up.

"Okay. We're inside. You can open your eyes."

He shook his head and just waited until it was his turn, so to speak. Finally, he opened his eyes, turning to glare at her. "Yes, and we have a child now. Meaning no more for a while. Please? A little break before the next one."

He looked around, smiling at what he saw. "Nice," he murmured. He gave her hand a squeeze, amazed at what he saw. "You're working very hard."

She shrugged. "Oh, I am more than happy to wait a while. Lots of whiles. That's if we consider another. If."

She looked about then back to him, proud. "Guess I am, gonna see this finished. Then we can go places."

"Big if. Please?" He gave her this almost pleading look. The last thing he ever wanted to do was piss her off. It did seem like he had a knack of being able to do that to her quite a bit. Still, they just had a kid. He was in no hurry to have another one any time soon. Couldn't they just get another dog, he thought to himself?

"Sounds good to me." Letting go of her, he moved around the ship, touching things, being careful what he touched and not pressing too hard. The lights in the ship seemed to flicker on and off as he moved his fingers across the console.

"Very big if." She agreed with him. She wanted to spend time with him and Rain first. See the little girl grow up. Then maybe have another. Maybe. But hey he didn't know that so a smirk would at least worry him. Lyssa liked to make Owen worry.

"Well looks like she like you." Lyssa grinned."That is clearly good news."
